50 min spinning playlist

It’s about that time of the year where I start to move my anaerobic training indoors. Over the past season I came up with a 50 min spinning routine that I wanted to share. Disclaimer: I am no spinning instructor. I have just attended a lot of different spinning classes and know what I like (and especially what I don’t like). With that said, here’s the list and you can also find my ready-made playlist on Spotify.

  1. AURORA - Churchyard

    Warm up, start cycling to the beat of the music with just enough resistance to not spin out.

  2. The Jezabels - Endless Summer

    Sprints. The song is quite fast in itself, so use low resistance. Sprint with the chorus.

  3. Hey Champ - Comet

    Climb. Increase resistance with the music (approximately every 35 seconds), add a little sprint at the end.

  4. MisterWives - Our Own House

    Standing sprints. Ride sitting through verses, standing sprints through the chorus (add enough resistance when standing up)

  5. Moonbootica - These Days Are Gone

    Climb. Increase resistance with the music (approximately every 15 seconds). The music briefly stops at around 1.41 minutes in, stop and get going again with the music at the same resistance.

  6. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll

    Standing tempo. Increase resistance with the music until around 1.10 minutes in. Stand up for chorus.

  7. Roisin Murphy - Dear Miami

    You made it halfway through, chill! This one is to come back down and get ready for the second half.

  8. Pendulum - Crush

    Sprints. Like the first song after the warm up, this one is fast. Sprint with the chorus. The music slows down heavily at around 2.58 minutes in. Follow suit and pick up the pace again with the music.

  9. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger

    Standing tempo. Increase resistance and stand up for choruses. Normal resistance and sitting in between.

  10. Bleeker - Highway

    Standing sprints. Increase resistance and standing sprints for choruses. Normal resistance and sitting in between.

  11. Daft Punk - One More Time

    Climb. Add a little resistance with every “One more time”. Stand up when the beat drops at around 4.17 minutes in.

  12. Wir Sind Helden - Nur Ein Wort

    Standing tempo. Increase resistance and stand up for choruses. Normal resistance and sitting in between.

  13. Charlie Cunningham - Minimum

    Cool down. Spin it out on easy resistance.
